About Us

Ariana is an attorney licensed to practice in all Colorado state courts and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. She owns and operates Busby Law Group, which focuses on complete representation of health care providers and facilities as general counsel, in administrative matters, and in civil litigation. Through Busby Law Group she also handles select criminal defense and other civil litigation defense matters. 

Prior to opening Busby Law Group, Ariana was a senior attorney at Nathan Dumm Mayer and was an attorney at Hall & Evans, LLC, where she practiced civil litigation, administrative, and regulatory law, covering a wide variety of practice areas including health care, professional liability, premises liability, products liability, insurance coverage, campaign finance, public entity, and construction defects.

Ariana has an extensive background in government, previously serving as the Director of the Mental Health Boards with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. She also previously served as Chief of Staff for the Colorado State Senate, after quickly working her way up the ranks from a Policy Intern, to Policy Analyst, and Policy Director. As a policy staffer, she focused on a variety of policy areas, including construction defects, education, healthcare, insurance, business, marijuana, public finance, and natural resources policy.

Ariana graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and with an Environmental & Natural Resources law certificate. While in law school, she worked full time at the Colorado State Senate and interned with a litigation law firm and a regulatory law firm. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Government with a minor in Law Studies from the University of Colorado – Denver.

Ariana serves in leadership roles in in the following organizations: the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, serving on the Board of Directors as Co-Chair of the Public Policy Committee; the Colorado Bar Association, where she was appointed to the Legislative Policy Committee and now the Budget Committee; and the Denver Bar Association Young Lawyers Council.

Ariana is currently an MBA candidate at the University of Denver. 

Dianne is a Colorado licensed pharmacist with extensive experience reviewing legal matters for standard of care relating to prescribing. 

Dianne's professional experience includes work in both retail and clinical pharmacy, including compounding pharmacy. Additionally, she was a lecturer at the University of Colorado Denver, at an elective course at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy, and at national conferences for high school and undergraduate students on the effect of painkillers and addiction. 

While Dianne is a paralegal on all of our cases, she is extra valuable to our cases involving prescribers where she is able to act as an in-house expert. Dianne also works with our team to provide risk management services related to prescribing, including informed consent education for higher risk or experimental medications (such as those we've seen throughout the COVID-19 pandemic). 

Dianne earned her PharmD from the University of Colorado Skagg's School of Pharmacy and her Bachelor's of Science in Biology from the University of Colorado Denver. Her academic achievements are truly too long to list, but include well over a dozen prestigious scholarships, numerous professional presentations, years of professional voluneer work, and membership in organizations such as Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science, American Indian Science and Engineering Society, and Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society. 

Honestly, we aren't sure if these guys can read, they won't respond to your emails, and they have no grasp of Colorado law, but they're doing their best and they're great for office morale. 

In all seriousness, Indy and Evs might not be able to help you with your legal issues, but they'll always be there to give you encouragement along the way (and as an added perk, the judges all seemed to like the pups when we were in Zoom court!).
